Fare Nest ("we", "us", "our") operates farenest.co.uk. This page explains what personal data we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
When you submit the flight search form, the booking form, or the contact form, we collect:
- Your name, phone number and email address (where provided)
- Your search details — route, travel dates, passenger numbers, cabin class, or destination and check-in/check-out dates for booking enquiries
- Any message you type into a form
- Technical data automatically recorded with your submission: IP address, browser user agent, the page you submitted from, and referral/campaign information
We do not collect payment card details through this website — flights are arranged and paid for directly with our team by phone or WhatsApp.
Why we collect it
We use this data to:
- Contact you by phone, WhatsApp or email about the flight or booking enquiry you submitted
- Find and quote you fares across our partner airlines
- Keep a record of enquiries so our team can follow up and so we can improve our service
- Meet our legal and accounting obligations
Our legal basis for processing this data is your consent (given when you submit a form) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you have made to us.
If you contact us via WhatsApp, that conversation is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy in addition to this one, since WhatsApp (owned by Meta) processes the message data on its platform.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to handle your booking and for a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and customer service purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary booking details with the airline or supplier needed to complete your travel arrangements. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may use third-party service providers (such as our email and hosting providers) who process data on our behalf under contract.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies strictly necessary for it to function (such as your login session in our dashboard). If we add analytics or marketing cookies in future, we will ask for your consent first via a cookie banner.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
